If the planholder dies while still paying the plan and the plan is active, any remaining unpaid amount will be considered fully paid, according to the rules in the master policy between St. Peter and the insurance company.
CASH ASSISTANCE
If the planholder dies while still paying the plan and the plan is active, the beneficiary will receive cash assistance equal to the contract price minus the processing fee, following the rules and limits in the master policy between St. Peter and the insurance company.
ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT
If the planholder dies or suffers accidental injury while still paying the plan and the plan is active, and if the planholder was between 18–55 years old when buying the plan, they will be covered for accidental loss of life, limbs, or sight caused by a sudden external accident.
The loss must happen within 180 days of the accident. Proof of the injury must be submitted within 90 days. Compensation will be as follows:
- Loss of life: Full contract price
- Loss of both hands, both feet, both eyes, or combinations of hand/foot and eye: Full contract price
- Loss of one hand, one foot, or one eye: Half of the contract price
These benefits are still subject to the standard exceptions and automatic discontinuation rules in the master policy between St. Peter and the insurance company.
WAIVER OF INSTALLMENT
The planholder does not have to pay installments if they become disabled and the disability continues without interruption for at least six (6) months.
EXTENDED CASH ASSISTANCE BENEFIT
If the planholder dies within five (5) years after fully paying the plan, or before reaching age 65—whichever comes first—the beneficiary will receive cash assistance equal to the contract price minus the processing fee.
For spot cash purchases, the extended cash assistance will last for ten (10) years from the plan’s start date or until the planholder turns 65, whichever comes first.
UNRENDERED SERVICE
If any of the situations in Article VI happen and St. Peter cannot provide the memorial services, St. Peter will return to the planholder’s beneficiaries, heirs, or successors an amount based on the Table of Termination Values in Article XIV. After that, St. Peter will have no further financial obligations, and the plan will be automatically cancelled.
However, the planholder’s beneficiaries, heirs, or successors can choose to keep the plan and still receive the memorial services in the future.
